Q is for Quack Activity List
Literacy
Talk about the sounds that the letter “Q” makes.
Think of other words that start with the “Q” sound: queen, quilt, quail, quest, question, quarter, quick, quiet.
Think of words that rhyme with quack: pack, snack, lack, track, slack
See if your child can find a “Q” inside each of the books you read.
Look for the letter “Q” on signs around town.

Music and PE
Play “Follow Mommy Duck”: One person is the “Mommy Duck”; everyone else is a duckling. Mommy Duck will walk around the room; the ducklings must follow and do what Mommy Duck does. If Mommy Duck hops, the ducklings hop. If Mommy duck wiggles her tail, the ducklings wiggle their tails. Play for 1-2 minutes, then switch roles.
Sing Five Little Ducks by Raffi- There is a lot of quacking in this song!

Ideas for Biblical Integration
Talk about how God provides for the birds of the air (and the pond)! If God feeds them, how much more will he take care of us!
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:24-26
Talk about how God gives baby ducks a Mommy Duck to lead them. The mommy duck teaches her ducklings how to swim, how to find food, and how to stay safe. She also keeps them warm and protects them. Wherever mommy duck leads, her little ducklings follow her. Can baby ducks take care of themselves? In the same way, God has given you a Mommy and Daddy to love you, lead you, teach you, protect you, and provide for you. God is so good to give us Mommys and Daddys!

I pray that this post is a blessing to you as you seek to lead your little ones to Jesus and teach them about His World!
Love, Trish
